Delia Cheesbro

Delia Cheesbro, 79, of West Union, Ohio passed away on Friday February 22, 2019 at the Adams County Manor Nursing Home in West Union. She was the oldest daughter of the late Linn and Mae (Mumford) Hemingway. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Bobby Cheesbro.

De is survived by her children, Roger (Cheri) Cheesbro of West Union; Bill (Chris) Cheesbro of Bryan Ohio, and Mark (Shannon) Cheesbro of Wylie Texas; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn Kingston and Joy Van Eck of Edgewater Florida; one niece and one nephew.

De retired from the OVLSD after 20 years of driving a school bus and classroom aide. She had also worked as a nurse’s aide at several nursing homes. De attended the Bentonville Community Church as long as her health permitted. De was a warm and caring person who will be missed by many.

At De’s request, she will be cremated with private family services at a later date.

I have known De for many years she was a caring and loving person she was the matriarch of her family not only a wonderful mother but a great friend her son Bobby was a friend of mine he took my knees to the high school prom Delia and I became friends when she worked for Dwayne Logan at the medical supply company it saddens my heart to know that such a wonderful person has left this Earth but what she left behind what is a legacy for her children to be the most loving and caring children in the world just like she was I am sorry for your loss. I remember all of you when my aunt and I lived next door in Peebles, thought of ya often. Yer mom always treated as one her own. Aunt De was a very kind soul. She helped take excellent care of my son from the time he was 6 weeks old until he was 18 months. She gave him his love of dancing and singing. We were very lucky to have known such a wonderful person.
