Robert Joey Newton, 62, of Sciotoville, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1960 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended North Adams High School and entered the U.S. Army. He played bass in various bands throughout his life.
Joey is survived by his father and mother: Robert and Alice Newton of West Union; one son, Jeremy (Amanda) Newton of Winchester; one daughter, Charity (Shawn) Merrell of Winchester; six grandchildren: Abigail, Hope, Coleman, Faith, Eziekial and Alexander; two brothers and one sister: Dennis (Margarite) Newton of West Union, Johnny (Connie) Newton of Seaman and Lisa (Zonnie) Holbrook of West Union and many nephews and nieces.
Joey will be sadly missed by many who knew him and loved him.

The public funeral is 11 AM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Youngsville Pentecostal Holiness Church, 16551 State Route 247, Seaman, Ohio 45679. Pastor Doug Hymer will officiate.
