Nancy Kay (Barr) Evans

Nancy Kay (Barr) Evans passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 81.  She was born on March 16, 1940 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray E. and Alma L. (Sininger) Barr.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billie Evans; brothers: Elgar, Richard, Ronnie and Dean Barr and sisters: Gladys Shoop and Betty Bracken.

She is survived by one sister, Grace Grabill; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Ronnie) Barr and Delores (Dean) Barr; numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.  Nancy was and will continue to be loved by those who went before and those left behind.

Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Manchester High School.  She married Billie Evans on September 26, 1959 and together they built a beautiful life, enjoying hobbies of classic cars, crafts, fish fries and entertaining family and friends.  They were blessed with 57 years of marriage.

She worked at Adams County Hospital in West Union for several years. After her working years, Nancy felt blessed to spend most every day with her precious mother.

Nancy and Bill were former members of the Ramblin’ Relics Car Club of Southern Ohio, where they formed many life-long friendships and with whom they enjoyed years of classic car shows and parades near and far.

The public visitation is 12 – 2 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Lafferty Funeral Home Incorporated, 205 South Cherry Street, West Union, Ohio 45693.

The public funeral is 2 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Lafferty Funeral Home Incorporated. Pastor Gary Brown will be officiating.

The public interment is at West Union Cemetery, 9522 State Route 125, West Union, Ohio 45693

Lafferty Funeral Home Incorporated is serving the family.
