James Fred Blevins, age 80, of Moores Hill, Indiana, died March 11, 2024. He was born October 24, 1943 in Sligo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lilly Blevins, two sisters; Katherine Kirk and Bonnie West, one brother, James Newman.
James is survived by his wife Audrey, one daughter Crystal (Paul) Godin of Moores Hill, Indiana, three grandchildren; Brittany (Jose) Caldron of Moores Hill, Indiana, Larry Copas (Clarissa) of Versailles, Indiana and Kyle Copas of Moores Hill, Indiana, five great grandchildren all of Indiana, two brothers: William Blevins of Moores Hill, Indiana, Charles Newman of Colorado, one sister, Dorothy Gerdes of Dillsboro, Indiana.
James joined the Army March 2, 1965 and served in the Vietnam War in 1967/1968. He was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18 most of his life.
James enjoyed fishing and coin hunting with his wife Audrey.
Graveside funeral service is 1 PM Friday, March 15, 2024 at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Blue Creek, Ohio with Reverend Teto Pell officiating.
Interment will be at Moores Chapel Cemetery, Blue Creek, Ohio.
