Shirley Ann Gillenwater

Shirley Ann Gillenwater, age 81, of West Union, Ohio, died December 9, 2019 at Adams County Manor in West Union. She was born August 2, 1938 in Scott County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by parents, William Sinkler Gillenwater and Mattie Evelyn Culbertson.
Shirley is survived by one brother, Gary (Debbie) Gillenwater; one sister, Helen M. (Don) Tomlin; three nieces: Barbara (Andrew) McClure, Pam (Tim) McKee and Charalena “Charlie” M. (Richard) Bess of West Union; two nephews: Joe Gillenwater and Jeremy (Amy) Tomlin; three great nephews: Richard Bess III of Seaman, Zachary (Olivia) Bess of West Union and Cory (Kathy) Bess of West Union; two great nieces: Heather McKee and Emma Tomlin, both of West Union; four great-great nephews and two great-great nieces.
She attended the adult workshop at Venture Productions, Incorporated in West Union for many years. She was a member of West Union Church of Christ and she attended West Union First Baptist Church.
The visitation is Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 12 until 2 PM at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.
The funeral service is Saturday at 2 PM. Pastor Ron Baker will officiate.
The interment is at Nixon Chapel Cemetery in Tiffin Township in Adams County.
